TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING: TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU: REMOVAL
CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Service Precautions.
NOTICE:
When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU, read the transmitter IDs registered in the tire pressure warning ECU and make a note of them before removing the tire pressure warning ECU.
1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System)
NOTICE:
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
(a) Open the front luggage compartment trim cover and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Removal
4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH Removal
5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH Removal
6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH Removal
7. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
8. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal
9. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Removal
10. REMOVE ECU INTEGRATION BOX RH Removal
11. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU
(a) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the tire pressure warning ECU from the ECU integration box.
