FE23 - Check DRL Circuit Continuity

- Key "OFF".

- Breakout box installed, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) disconnected.

- Disconnect Daytime Running Lamps relay.

- Measure resistance between test pin 42 (test pin 14 for CD4E and Calif. M/T) at breakout box and Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) relay signal pin cavity at DRL relay female connector (refer to Pinpoint Test schematic). FE - Testing Schematic

- Is resistance less than 5.0 ohms?

Yes -- Go to FE24. FE24 - Check DRL Circuit For Short to Ground

No -- Service open circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Verify elimination of idle speed concern.
