Technician Safety Information

1. As a safety routine, block the drive wheels before beginning any service with vehicle on the ground.
2. Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. For safe support, utilize jack stands on a level, hard surface.
3. Always wear appropriate eye protection.
4. To prevent the possibility of burns, use caution when working near catalytic converters. Internal converter temperatures can exceed 1000°F.
5. Ignition systems present a shock hazard. Exercise caution when performing spark tests and always use non-conductive ignition wire pliers.
