Location
The Reverse/Parking lock is located in the floor selector.

Task
To prevent damage to the automatic transmission, the R/P lock prevents the selector lever being shifted into selector lever position < R > above a speed of approx. 18 km/h. In addition the R/P lock locks the selector lever in selector lever position < P > when shift-lock is active.
