DG4 - Check KS Circuit For Short to Ground

- Key "OFF".

- Breakout box installed, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) disconnected.

- Knock Sensor (KS) disconnected.

- Measure resistance between test pin 23 and test pins 40, 46 and 60 at breakout box.

- Is each resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?

Yes -- Replace KS. Remove breakout box. Reconnect PCM. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

If Code 25/225 is still present, replace PCM.

No -- Service short circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
