Removing And Installing Or Replacing Control Unit


NOTE: Read out fault memory of EMS2000 control module, check stored fault memory, rectify faults, clear fault memory.


Turn off ignition.
Remove battery cover.







Move EMS2000 retaining clips (1) and lift EMS2000 control unit upwards.
Slide connector locking mechanism (2) outward.
Disconnect EMS2000 connectors (3).
Program ECU with DIS+ or MoDic.
Programming.
DME programming.
Exchange control unit.
Engine type.
Exchange control unit.


NOTE: Read out fault memory of EMS2000 control module, check stored fault memory, rectify faults, clear fault memory.
