MONITOR STRATEGY DESCRIPTION
There is a catalyst diagnosis with separate Cat-Diag values for each exhaust gas bank.If one exhaust bank value is over calibrated threshold, this catalyst is detected as faulty. That means it one catalyst is aged over OBD limit the MIL is switched on.

MALFUNCTION CRITERIA AND THRESHOLD VALUE(S)
Separate comparison of Catalyst diagnosis value in OSC range with threshold (1,00) and separate failure for every cylinder bank is stored.

Enable Conditions:
Start of a driving cycle
Coolant Temp. > 45 degrees C
398.85 degrees C < CAT Temp. < 862.85 degrees C 0 km/h < Vehicle Speed < 160 km/h BARO > 599.99 hPa
(table from 95 mg/stk up to 800 mg/stk) < MAF < (table from 10 mg/stk up to 340.01 mg/stk) This diagnostic is inhibited if any of the following DTC's are present: Cam sensor errors Crank sensor errors ECT errors MAF error MAP error CPS error Lambda trim control error Vehicle speed errors O2 sensor errors TP errors Fuel system diagnosis errors Misfire errors

MONITOR STRATEGY DESCRIPTION
To fulfill the legal requirements of the OBDII lambda sensor diagnosis, the trim of the lambda control by the lambda sensor signal downstream of the catalytic converter must be monitored in addition to the diagnosis of the lambda sensor upstream of the catalytic converter (by determining the switching times and the control frequency). Faulty behavior of the lambda sensors upstream or downstream the catalytic converter exists if sensor limits are reached and in this way one of the emission values in the FTP test is exceeded by 1.5 fold.

MALFUNCTION CRITERIA AND THRESHOLD VALUE(S)
Lean:
The I-share of the adaptation value > 300 ms
For the first time
=> Increment time counter until counter > 1 s Then an error is detected. Or
A lambda set-point shifting is or was active and Minimum mass air flow integral outside of PUC reached. => Error detected Rich: The I-share of the adaptation value < -300 ms

MONITOR STRATEGY DESCRIPTION
