DESCRIPTION
When the volume of washer fluid decreases to below a certain level (when the level warning switch is turned on), the combination meter warns the driver through illumination of the master warning light on the washer warning light.

PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (WASHER SWITCH)
(a) Use the Data List to check if the level warning switch is functioning properly Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

OK:
On the Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to the above chart.
NG -- INSPECT LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
2. INSPECT LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the level warning switch connector Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
HINT
When the fluid volume is between 630 and 830 cc (38.4 cu.in. and 50.6 cu.in.), the level warning switch may be on or off.
NG -- REPLACE WASHER FLUID LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the A27 level warning switch connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the A27 level warning switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the F14 combination meter connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Removal
