C1210

BRAKE CONTROL: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: C1210, C1336: Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate Sensor Undone
C1336 - Zero Point Calibration of Acceleration Sensor Undone

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU receives signals from the yaw rate and deceleration sensor via the CAN communication system.

The yaw rate sensor has a built-in deceleration sensor and detects the vehicle's condition using 2 circuits (GL1, GL2).

If there is trouble in the bus lines between the yaw rate and deceleration sensor and the CAN communication system, DTCs U0123 (yaw rate sensor communication trouble) and U0124 (deceleration sensor communication trouble) are stored.

The DTCs are also stored when the calibration has not been completed.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform calibration Calibration.
* When replacing the yaw rate and deceleration sensor, perform zero point calibration Calibration
* Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

Result

B -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING) How to Proceed With Troubleshooting
A -- Continue to next step.

2. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE AND DECELERATION SENSOR

(a) Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate and deceleration sensor Calibration.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. PERFORM TEST MODE (SIGNAL CHECK)

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Perform the signal check in the Test Mode Procedure Test Mode Procedure.

OK:

All test mode DTCs are cleared.

NG -- CHECK YAW RATE AND DECELERATION SENSOR INSTALLATION

OK -- END

4. CHECK YAW RATE AND DECELERATION SENSOR INSTALLATION

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Check that the yaw rate and deceleration sensor has been installed properly Installation.

OK:

The sensor is tightened to the specified torque.

The sensor is not installed at an angle.

NG -- INSTALL YAW RATE AND DECELERATION SENSOR CORRECTLY Installation
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (YAW RATE AND DECELERATION SENSOR)

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(d) Turn the Techstream on.

(e) Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Data List.

ABS/VSC/TRAC

(f) Check that the yaw rate and deceleration sensor output value is displayed on the Techstream.

OK:

The yaw rate and deceleration sensor output value is normal.

NOTICE:
Check the yaw rate and deceleration sensor signal after replacement Test Mode Procedure.

NG -- REPLACE YAW RATE AND DECELERATION SENSOR Removal

OK -- REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID Disassembly
