Reassembly

ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: REAR DOOR: REASSEMBLY

1. CLEAN REAR DOOR GLASS Installation

2. CLEAN VEHICLE BODY Installation

3. INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side Installation.

4. INSTALL ACCESS DOOR GLASS OUTER WEATHERSTRIP

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side Installation.

5. INSTALL ACCESS DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side Installation.

6. INSTALL ACCESS PANEL LOWER LOCK STOP

(a) Using "Torx" socket wrench T40, install the access panel lower lock stop with the 2 screws.

Torque : 23 Nm (235 kgf-cm, 17 ft-lbf)

7. INSTALL ACCESS PANEL WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Engage the 20 clips and install a new access panel weatherstrip.

(b) Engage the 6 clips.

8. INSTALL ACCESS PANEL CHECK ASSEMBLY

(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the access panel check.

(b) Install the access panel check onto the door panel with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

(c) Apply adhesive to the threads of the bolt.

Adhesive:

Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or the equivalent.

(d) Install the access panel check onto the body panel with the bolt.

Torque : 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)

9. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM

(a) Install the rear door opening trim.

10. INSTALL REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER

(a) Install a new rear door service hole cover.

HINT
After attaching the service hole cover, check the quality of the seal.

11. INSTALL ACCESS PANEL LOCK STRIKER PLATE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using "Torx" socket wrench T40, install the access panel lock striker plate with the 2 screws.

Torque : 23 Nm (235 kgf-cm, 17 ft-lbf)

12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH Installation

13. INSTALL ACCESS PANEL LOCK CANCEL LEVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Using "Torx" socket wrench T30, install the access panel lock cancel lever with the 2 screws.

Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

14. INSTALL ACCESS PANEL LOCK REMOTE CONTROL ASSEMBLY

(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding and rotating areas of the access panel lock remote control.

(b) Install the access panel lock remote control with the 2 bolts and the clip.

Torque : 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the rod and connector clamp.

15. INSTALL ACCESS PANEL LOWER LOCK ASSEMBLY Installation

16. INSTALL ACCESS PANEL UPPER LOCK ASSEMBLY Installation

17. INSTALL ACCESS PANEL INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the access panel inside handle with the 3 bolts.

Torque : 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

(b) Connect the rod.

18. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY Installation

19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY Installation

20. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH

(a) Engage the 2 clips and install the center pillar upper garnish.

(b) Install the 2 screws.

(a) Install the rear door trim bracket with the 2 screws.

22. INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 9 clips and install the rear door trim board.

(b) Install the front seat belt outer (floor side) with the bolt.

Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

23. INSTALL NO. 1 CUP HOLDER

(a) Install the No. 1 cup holder with the screw.

24. INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the rear door inside handle with the snap ring onto the access panel inside handle.

25. INSTALL LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER

(a) Engage the 3 claws and install the lap belt outer anchor cover.

26. INSTALL ACCESS PANEL REAR WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Install the access panel rear weatherstrip.

27. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque : 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)
