Removal

2GR-FXE ENGINE MECHANICAL: ENGINE UNIT: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT Removal

2. REMOVE ELECTRIC INVERTER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE ENGINE WIRE

(a) Remove the engine wire from the engine.

4. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH





(a) Remove the 3 bolts and engine mounting bracket RH.

5. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET





(a) Remove the 3 bolts and rear engine mounting bracket.

6. REMOVE EGR DELIVERY CHAMBER Removal

7. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH

(a) Remove the bolt and No. 2 engine mounting stay RH.





9. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD





(a) Uniformly loosen and remove the 6 bolts and 4 nuts.

(b) Remove the intake manifold and 2 gaskets.

10. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 5 bolts and V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.





11. REMOVE NO. 2 TIMING GEAR COVER

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 timing gear cover.





12. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY Removal

13. REMOVE RADIO SETTING CONDENSER

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 radio setting condensers.





14. REMOVE PURGE VSV Removal

15. REMOVE ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal

16. REMOVE SENSOR WIRE

(a) Disconnect the 2 knock control sensor connectors and knock control sensor wire connector.





(b) Detach the 2 clamps and remove the knock control sensor wire from the engine assembly.

17. REMOVE KNOCK SENSOR Removal

18. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR Removal
