2GR-FXE INTAKE: INTAKE MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE Removal

2. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

Removal

3. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose.

(b) Disconnect the 5 clamps and separate the main wire.

(d) Disconnect the connector from the manifold absolute pressure sensor.

(e) Detach the wire harness clamp from the No. 1 surge tank stay.

(f) Remove the 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration, and then remove the No. 1 surge tank stay.

(g) Remove the 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration, and then remove the throttle body bracket.

(h) Using a 5 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 2 nuts, 4 hexagon socket head cap bolts in the order shown in the illustration, and then remove the intake air surge tank assembly.

(i) Remove the intake air surge tank assembly and 3 air surge tank to intake manifold gaskets.

4. DISCONNECT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE RESERVOIR BRACKET

(a) Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the wire harness from the reservoir bracket.

(b) Remove the 2 nuts and reservoir bracket.

6. REMOVE NO. 2 EGR PIPE Removal

7. REMOVE EGR DELIVERY CHAMBER

(a) Disconnect the 2 water hoses and connector.

(b) Remove the EGR delivery chamber.

8. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH

(a) Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and stay.

9. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH

(a) Remove the bolt and stay.

10. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY Removal

12. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

(a) Remove the 6 bolts, 4 nuts and intake manifold.

(b) Remove the 2 intake manifold gaskets.
