SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
* The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat leg leg cover.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG COVER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

3. REMOVE SEAT LEG COVER LH

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

(b) Remove the screw and seat leg cover LH.

4. REMOVE SEAT LEG COVER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

5. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Seat) Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD

(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 clips.

(b) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the No. 1 front seat inner cushion shield.

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD RH

(a) Disengage the clip and 5 claws, and remove the front seat cushion inner shield RH.

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR Removal

10. REMOVE SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR Removal

11. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Apply protective tape around the cushion shield.

(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective, disengage the 2 claws and remove the reclining power seat switch knob.

12. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective, disengage the 2 claws and remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH

(a) Disengage the 3 claws, clip, guide and remove the front seat cushion inner shield LH.

(b) Disconnect the lifter motor connector.

(c) Disengage the 3 claws and open the wire harness cover.

(d) Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps and disconnect the seat wire connector.

14. REMOVE POWER SEAT SWITCH

(a) for Seat Position Memory System:

(1) Remove the 3 screws.

(2) Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the power seat switch.

except Seat Position Memory System:

(1) Remove the 3 screws.

(2) Disconnect the connector and remove the power seat switch.

15. REMOVE LUMBAR SWITCH

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws.

(b) Disconnect the lumbar switch connector and remove the lumbar switch.

16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE

(a) Remove the seat band.

(b) for Driver Side:

(1) Disconnect the 4 connectors and 8 wire clamps.

(c) for Front Passenger Side:

(1) Disconnect the 8 connectors and 8 wire clamps.

(d) Remove the 3 hog rings.

(e) Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the front seat wire.

17. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL

(a) Disengage the clip and remove the seat heater control.

18. REMOVE SEAT ARMREST COVER LH

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the seat armrest cover LH.

19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and the front seat armrest assembly.

20. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT SEATBACK HOOK

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the No. 1 front seatback hook cover.

(b) Remove the screw and the No. 1 front seatback hook.

21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

(a) Disengage the 4 clamps and separate the side airbag wire.

(b) Remove the 3 hog rings.

HINT
Use the same procedure for both sides.

22. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Remove the nut and the seatback cover and pad.

(b) Disengage the fastening tape and remove the 4 hog rings and front seatback cover.

23. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

24. REMOVE SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY

(a) Cut off the 19 tack pins which fasten the seatback heater to the seatback cover, and then remove the seatback heater from the seatback cover.

25. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Disengage the 2 hooks.

(b) Disengage the 7 hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

26. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Remove the 16 hog rings and the front seat cushion cover.

27. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY

(a) Cut off the 33 tack pins which fasten the seat heater to the seat cushion cover, and then remove the seat cushion heater from the seat cushion cover.

28. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

29. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

30. REMOVE SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER

(a) Disengage the claw and remove the seat reclining adjuster inside cover.

31. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the screw and the seat cushion edge protector LH.

32. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Driver Side)

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

33. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Remove the screw and the seat cushion edge protector LH.

34. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Front Passenger Side)

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

35. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Disengage the hook and remove the seat cushion lower shield LH.

36. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

37. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and the front seatback spring assembly.
