Mono-Motronic TBI System, component layout





Note:
^ The Mono-Motronic Engine Control Module (d257) is equipped with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Memory and an On Board Diagnostic function.
^ Check DTC Memory for stored malfunctions, correct if necessary, then erase DTC Memory and recheck.
^ Check all connections for air leaks (false air).
^ Components indicated with an asterisk (*) are checked by the On Board Diagnostic program. Testing and Inspection
^ Components indicated with double asterisks (**) are checked by the "Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM)" function. [1][2][3]Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) (Function 03)
^ Hose connections are secured with screw-type or locking clamps.
^ Replace all clamps with screw-type clamps.
^ Always replace gaskets and seals during assembly
^ At least 11.5 Volts are required for satisfactory function of electrical components.

CAUTION!
DO NOT use sealing compounds that contain silicone. Traces of silicone particles entering the engine are not burned in the engine and can damage the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) probe.
