1 15 Nm

2 Sealing flange

• With seal

• Must be located on dowel sleeves

• Removing and installing => [ Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side ] Service and Repair.

• Insert with silicone sealant (D 176 404 A2) => [ Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side ] Service and Repair.

• Do not additionally oil or grease sealing lip of seal.

• Before installing, remove oil residue from crankshaft journal with a clean cloth.

• Seal for crankshaft - ribbed belt side, replacing => [ Crankshaft Seal, Belt Pulley Side ] Service and Repair.

3 Chain tensioner with tensioning rail, 15 Nm

• When installing, pretension spring and hook in

4 Oil dipstick

• Oil level must not exceed max. marking!

• Marks => [ Engine Oil, Checking Level ] Testing and Inspection.

5 Inlet spout

6 Guide tube

7 Fitting sleeves

8 O-ring

• Replace

9 15 Nm

10 Suction line

• Clean strainer if soiled

11 Splash wall

12 15 Nm

13 15 Nm

14 Oil pan

• Clean sealing surface before installing

• Install with silicone sealant (D 176 404 A2)

• Removing and installing => [ Oil Pan ] Oil Pan.

15 Oil drain plug, 30 Nm

• With permanent sealing ring

• Replace

16 Oil pump

• With pressure relief valve 12 bar

• Removing and installing => [ Oil Pump ] Oil Pump.

• Before installing, check to be sure both alignment bushings are present (for centering oil pump/cylinder block)

• Replace if running surfaces and gears are scored

17 Chain sprocket for oil pump

18 20 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn) additional turn

• Replace

19 Chain

20 25 Nm

• Install without sealant

21 Oil spray jet

• For piston cooling

• When replacing the oil injector jet, pay attention to the correct allocation for the pistons
