Windshield Wiper Blades, Adjusting Park Position

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

- Deactivate APP function, refer to => [ Wiper Motor Alternating Park Position Function, Deactivating ] Testing and Inspection.

- Actuate wiper motor into the end position and then switch off ignition.

- Now set the park positions of the windshield wiper blades.

Driver Side:





The gap dimension - A - between the center of the wiper blade and lower edge of the windshield must be 39 mm.

- If necessary, set park position of windshield wiper blades by offsetting wiper arms.

Wiper arms, removing, refer to => [ Wiper Arms ] Wiper Arms.

- Tighten the bolt to the specification shown in => [ Specifications ] Specifications.

Passenger Side:





The distance - B - between the wiper blade and the upper edge of the plenum chamber cover must be 14 mm.

- If necessary, set park position of windshield wiper blades by offsetting wiper arms.

Wiper arms, removing, refer to => [ Wiper Arms ] Wiper Arms.

- Tighten the bolt to the specification shown in => [ Specifications ] Specifications.
