Selector Mechanism Overview, from 03.2009
CAUTION!
Shift the selector lever into P and engage the parking brake before working with the engine running.
1 Shift Handle with Cover
• Do not remove the knob if not necessary. For emergency release, only cover must be removed. Refer to => [ Selector Lever Manual Release ] Procedures.
• Pull the locking button past its pressure point before remove the handle. Secure the locking button with a tie wrap or with wire. This prevents the locking button from being pushed back into knob accidentally.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Shift Handle with Cover ] Removal and Replacement.
2 Selector Lever and Mechanism with Cable
• With the shift lock solenoid (N110).
• Do not grease cable.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Selector Lever and Mechanism with Cable, from 03.2009 ] Selector Lever and Mechanism with Cable, from 03.2009.
• Checking, refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable, Checking through 02.2009 ] Selector Lever Cable, Checking through 02.2009.

• 8 Nm
4 Nut with Collar
• 8 Nm
• Quantity: 4
5 Shift Housing
6 Securing Plate
• Always replace after removing.
7 Securing Plate
• Always replace after removing.
