B1D75 - Seat Rear Vertical Position Sensor Circuit Low
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.
• When Monitored: When the seat motor is activated.
• Set Condition: If sensor voltage is not within a specified range this DTC will set.
Test Step 1 - Test For Intermittent Condition
• Turn the ignition ON.
• With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.
• Move the driver seat switch in the vertical position three times.
• With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC?
Yes
• Go to Test Step 2 => [ Test Step 2 - Check the Driver Seat Vertical Position Sense Circuit
Voltage ]
No
• The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
• Perform Power Seat System Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics. Power Seat System Verification Test
Test Step 2 - Check the Driver Seat Vertical Position Sense Circuit Voltage
• Turn the ignition OFF.
• Disconnect the driver vertical seat adjuster motor harness connector.
• Turn the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage of the driver seat vertical position sense circuit at the driver vertical seat adjuster motor harness connector.
Is the voltage above 10.0 volts?
Yes
• Replace the seat track vertical motor assembly.
• Perform Power Seat System Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics. Power Seat System Verification Test
No
• Go to Test Step 3 => [ Test Step 3 - Check the Driver Seat Vertical Position Sense Circuit
for a Short to Ground ]
Test Step 3 - Check the Driver Seat Vertical Position Sense Circuit for a Short to Ground
• Turn the ignition OFF.
• Disconnect the memory seat module C3 harness connector.
• Measure the resistance between ground and the driver seat vertical position sense circuit at the driver vertical seat adjuster motor harness connector.
Is the resistance above 10k ohms?
Yes
• Replace the memory seat module.
• Perform Power Seat System Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics. Power Seat System Verification Test
No
• Repair the driver seat vertical position sense circuit for a short to ground.
• Perform Power Seat System Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics. Power Seat System Verification Test
