Seat Back Recliner

Removing






- Remove the seat cushion side shields. Refer to => [ Seat Cushion Side Shields ] Seat Cushion Side Shields.

- Remove the seat back cover and foam. Refer to => [ Seat Back Cover and Cushion ] Seat Back Cover and Cushion.

- Remove both armrest rotating mechanisms. Refer to => [ Armrest Bracket ] Armrest Bracket.

- Remove the bolts (1) securing each side of the seat back frame to the reclining mechanisms and remove the frame.






• Outboard reclining mechanism shown. Inboard mechanism similar.

- Remove the bolts (1) securing the reclining mechanisms to the seat cushion frame and remove the reclining mechanisms as required.

- Remove the seat belt buckle if servicing the inboard reclining mechanism.

Installing






• Outboard reclining mechanism shown. Inboard mechanism similar.

- Position the seat belt buckle to the seat cushion frame if servicing the inboard reclining mechanism.

- Position the reclining mechanisms to the seat cushion frame and install the bolts (1) securing the reclining mechanisms to the frame as required. Tighten the bolts to 55 Nm (40 ft lbs).






- Position the seat back frame to the reclining mechanisms and install the bolts (1) securing each side of the seat back frame. Tighten the bolts to 48 Nm (35 ft lbs).

- Install both armrest rotating mechanisms. Refer to => [ Armrest Bracket ] Armrest Bracket.

- Install the seat back foam and cover. Refer to => [ Seat Back Cover and Cushion ] Seat Back Cover and Cushion.

- Install the seat cushion side shields. Refer to => [ Seat Cushion Side Shields ] Seat Cushion Side Shields.
