Lock Carrier with Attachments
Removing
• The lock carrier is a safety-related component so it must not be serviced.
• If damaged, replace the lock carrier.
- Perform service position of lock carrier with attachments - 1 -. Refer to => [ Service Position, Setting ] Service Position, Setting.
- Disconnect the electrical harness connectors present.
- Disconnecting the electrical connectors for the crash sensors is described in Removal and Installation.
- Drain coolant and disconnect coolant lines.
- Disconnect condenser lines.
- With a second technician, remove guide rod (T 10093) on longitudinal member on left and right sides and lift out lock carrier.
Do not start the engine if the A/C system or coolant lines are disconnected.
• Do not hang the condenser and hydraulic oil cooler by the lines.
• Do not kink the condenser and hydraulic lines.
Installation
To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.
• Make sure that all plug- and hose connections are corrected installed when re-assembling.
• The angle brackets on the longitudinal member must be installed. Refer to => [ Bumper Angle Brackets, Assembly Overview ] Bumper Angle Brackets, Assembly Overview
- For bolt tightening specifications, refer to => [ Lock Carrier, Assembly Overview ] Lock Carrier, Assembly Overview
- Align the lock carrier with the longitudinal members and between the fenders.
- Secure the headlamp and check the headlamp setting.
