Lock Carrier with Attachments

Removing

The lock carrier is a safety-related component so it must not be serviced.

If damaged, replace the lock carrier.






- Perform service position of lock carrier with attachments - 1 -. Refer to => [ Service Position, Setting ] Service Position, Setting.

- Disconnect the electrical harness connectors present.

- Disconnecting the electrical connectors for the crash sensors is described in Removal and Installation.

- Drain coolant and disconnect coolant lines.

- Disconnect condenser lines.

- With a second technician, remove guide rod (T 10093) on longitudinal member on left and right sides and lift out lock carrier.


Do not start the engine if the A/C system or coolant lines are disconnected.

Do not hang the condenser and hydraulic oil cooler by the lines.

Do not kink the condenser and hydraulic lines.

Installation

To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.

Make sure that all plug- and hose connections are corrected installed when re-assembling.

The angle brackets on the longitudinal member must be installed. Refer to => [ Bumper Angle Brackets, Assembly Overview ] Bumper Angle Brackets, Assembly Overview

- For bolt tightening specifications, refer to => [ Lock Carrier, Assembly Overview ] Lock Carrier, Assembly Overview

- Align the lock carrier with the longitudinal members and between the fenders.

- Secure the headlamp and check the headlamp setting.
