Electronic Throttle Control Module: Service and Repair

Throttle Valve Control Module J338

Removing

- Remove the engine cover. Refer to => [ Engine Cover ] Engine Cover.

- Remove noise insulation.

- Remove the charge air cooler. Refer to => [ Charge Air Cooler ] Charge Air Cooler.

- Remove the bolts - 2 - and remove the connecting tube - 1 -.






- Remove the upper bolts - arrows - for the support - 1 -.






- Release and disconnect the connector - 1 - from the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid valve.






- Release and disconnect the connector - 2 - from the throttle valve control module.






- Remove the bolt - 1 - for the oil dipstick guide tube.

- Remove the upper bolt - arrow -.

- Remove the throttle valve control module together with the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid valve.

Disconnect the throttle valve control module from the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid valve. Refer to => [ Intake Manifold Overview ] Intake Manifold Overview.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:

• Replace the O-ring.
