Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 1 G235

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Tool Set 17 mm (T10395)

• Ring Spanner 7-piece Set (3337)

Removing

- Remove the engine cover. Refer to => [ Engine Cover ] Engine Cover.

- Remove the front exhaust pipe with particulate filter. Refer to => [ Front Exhaust Pipe with Particulate Filter ] Front Exhaust Pipe with Particulate Filter.

- Release and disconnect the connector - arrow A - and free up the wires.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and then remove the heat shield.






- Remove exhaust gas temperature sensor 1 - 1 - from the exhaust manifold.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:

• Coat the exhaust gas temperature sensor 1 threads with hot bolt past, for the hot bolt paste, refer to the Parts Catalog.

• When installing, bring all cable ties back to same positions.

Installed position of the exhaust gas temperature sensor 1:

• The angled shaft must be 3.5 mm - a - from the bolt for the turbocharger support.






- Electrical connectors and wiring routing.
