Engine, Securing to the Engine and Transmission Holder

The engine can be secured to the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095) using a universal mount or the engine support (3269). Use the engine support (3269) when working on the chain drive.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Lifting Tackle (3033)

Shop Crane - Load Cap = 700-1200 KG (VAS 6100)

Procedure

- Separate the transmission from the engine. Refer to => [ Engine and Transmission, Separating ] Engine and Transmission, Separating.

- Install the lifting tackle (3033) as shown and lift the engine using the shop crane - load cap = 700-1200 KG (VAS 6100) off of the engine-/gearbox jack (V.A.G 1383 A).






Vibration damper side: Position 3.

Flywheel side: Position 11.
