Work sequence
- Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051 and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics" from list. Engine must be idling. Connecting VAS 5051 Scan Tool

Indicated on VAS 5051:







- From list -1- select diagnostic function "08 - Reading measured value block".

Indicated on VAS 5051:







1 Enter display group
- Use keypad -2- to enter "086" for "Display group number 086" and confirm by touching Q key.

Indicated on VAS 5051:







- Check display in zone -1-.
- Specification: 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

Display Group 086:

Note on display zone 1:
Of primary importance is display zone 1. This display shows which system has been checked by the self-diagnosis since the fault memory was last erased or a new control module installed. After erasing the fault memory, all values which can be checked are set to "1"; on successful completion of testing the values are set to "0".







NOTE: Readiness code is only generated if all positions in display zone 1 are set to "0".

If specification "0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0" is obtained in display zone 1:
- Touch <- key.
