Control Module, Coding

- Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system (VAS5051). Refer to => [ VAS 5051, Connecting and Select Functions ] VAS 5051, Connecting and Select Functions and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics" in selection. Ignition must be switched on.

- Under - 1 - select diagnostic function "07 - Code control module".

1. Enter code word

- Enter 7-digit control module code in zone - 2 - in accordance with coding table.

- Exit function "07 - Coding control module" by pressing arrow button.

- Switch ignition off and then switch on again after 15 seconds.

• The next time the ignition is switched on the newly entered code will be activated.

• If the ignition is not switched off and on after the correct code has been entered, it will not be possible to erase DTC "01044 Control module incorrectly coded").

• In the case of non-hot country vehicles, the hot-country function (activation of the pump for coolant run-on) must be deactivated in function 11 - Login, or function 11 - Coding II. Refer to => [ Hot Climate Function, Activating and Deactivating ] Coding II Login Procedure after installation of the new control module, a DTC memory entry is made.
