1 Bolt
• Replace the M6 bolts
• Tightening Specifications and Sequence, refer to => [ Lower Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence ]
2 Crankshaft shaft seal, transmission side
• Replacing, refer to => [ Crankshaft Seal, Transmission Side ] Service and Repair.
3 Alignment bushing
• 2 pieces
4 Left cylinder head gasket
5 Bolt
• Replace
• Tightening specification and sequence, refer to => [ Lower Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence ]
6 Bolt
• Tightening specification and sequence, refer to => [ Left Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications And Sequence ]
7 Bracket
• For the secondary air injection hose
8 Left timing chain cover
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Left Timing Chain Cover ] Left Timing Chain Cover
9 O-ring
• Replace
10 Left coolant intermediate pipe
• Drive out with drift
11 O-ring
• Replace
12 Bolt
• Tightening specification and sequence, refer to => [ Right Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence ]
13 Bracket
• For Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve (N80)
14 Right timing chain cover
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Right Timing Chain Cover ] Right Timing Chain Cover
15 O-ring
• Replace
16 right coolant intermediate pipe
• Drive out with drift
17 O-ring
• Replace
18 Right cylinder head gasket
19 Alignment bushing
• 2 pieces
20 Lower timing chain cover
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Lower Timing Chain Cover ] Lower Timing Chain Cover
Left Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications And Sequence
- Tighten bolts to 9 Nm in the sequence - 1 to 8 -.
Right Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence
- Tighten bolts to 9 Nm in the sequence - 1 to 8 -.
Lower Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence
- Replace the M6 bolts - 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10 - and - arrows -.
- Tighten bolts in 6 stages as follows:
- Pre-tighten the bolts - arrows - to 5 Nm.
- Tighten the bolts - 1 to 10 - in a diagonal sequence to 8 Nm using a torque wrench.
- Tighten bolts - arrows - to 8 Nm.
- Tighten the M8 bolts - 2, 6 and 7 - in a diagonal sequence to 22 Nm.
- Tighten the M6 bolts - 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10 - an additional 90° in a diagonal sequence.
- Tighten the bolts - arrows - an additional 90°.
