Lower Seat Frame without Seat Depth Adjuster, Cover and Padding, Separating and Connecting

• The work description is based on a manual or power standard front seat and comfort seat.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Upholstery Clip Pliers (V.A.G 1634)

Removing






- Remove the cover and upholstery from the seat pan. Refer to => [ Lower Seat Frame without Seat Depth Adjuster, Cover and Padding ] Lower Seat Frame Without Seat Depth Adjuster, Cover and Padding.

- Remove the rear and sides of the cover - 1 - from the upholstery - 2 -.

- On vehicles with comfort seats, unclip retaining channel - 3 - on the front side of the upholstery from clips - 4 -.

- Unclip retaining channel - 4 - for cover - 1 - on upholstery - 3 - from clips - 2 -.






- Remove cover from cushion.

Versions with Fabric Covers:






- Remove contour wire - 3 - that is inserted into pocket - 4 - in cover - 5 - from clips - 2 -.

- Remove the cover from the cushion - 1 -.

Versions with Leather Covers:






- Cut through the upholstery clips - 3 - using pliers - 4 -.

- Remove the cover - 1 - from cushion - 2 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- When installing new upholstery clips with leather covers, use upholstery clip pliers (V.A.G 1634).
