Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Upholstery clip pliers (V.A.G 1634)

Removing






- Remove backrest cover and backrest cushion:

• Comfort reclining seat => [ Backrest Cover and Backrest Cushion, Reclining Seat ] Backrest Cover and Backrest Cushion, Reclining Seat

• Multicontour seat => [ Backrest Cover with Backrest Cushion for Multi-contour Seat ] Backrest Cover with Backrest Cushion for Multi-contour Seat.

- Pull off backrest cover - 2 - from the backrest cushion - 1 - as far as possible and cut upholstery clips - 3 - using pliers - 4 -.

- Version with backrest heating: Disconnect the connector.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install new upholstery clips using upholstery clip pliers (V.A.G 1634).
