Disassembling Front A/C Unit

Disassembling Front A/C Unit

Depending on the production date, there can be different versions of the levers and connecting elements on the A/C unit. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog.

Currently the evaporator is not available for all versions as a replacement part. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA). If the evaporator is not available as a replacement evaporator, the A/C unit must be removed. Refer to => [ Front Heating and A/C Unit ] Front Heating and A/C Unit and the evaporator housing with the series evaporator must be replaced entirely. Refer to => [ Evaporator Housing ] Evaporator Housing.

Interchange of the wire connections to the temperature sensors or the connectors at the control motors results in problems regarding the regulation of the A/C system.

Interchanged connectors at the control motors or the temperature sensors are not identified as malfunctions by the Climatronic control module (J255).

Prior to disconnecting connectors or removing electrical components, clearly label them in order to rule out confusion.

Removal and installation, refer to => [ Front Heating and A/C Unit ] Front Heating and A/C Unit.

Refer to => [ Removing Components From Front A/C Unit ] Removing Components From Front A/C Unit.
