Fuse Holder, Front End

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to=> [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

Removing






- Remove the air intake grille - 1 - from the bumper cover - arrow - on vehicles with a gasoline engine.

- If the vehicle has a TDI engine, remove the front bumper cover end plate.

- Remove the front bumper cover on the Audi S8.

- Release the tab - arrow - and open the cover - 4 -.






- Remove the electrical wires - 1 - and - 2 -.

- Remove bolt - 3 -.

- Push the fuse panel on the front end upward and disengage it from the lock carrier.

- Disconnect the electrical wires - 1, 5 and 6 -.






- Disconnect the connectors - 2 - and - 3 - from the fuse panel - 4 -.

- Remove the fuse panel from the front end of the vehicle.

Installing

For the correct tightening specification, refer to => [ Engine Compartment E-Box, Wire Junction, Fuse Holder and Battery Overview ] Engine Compartment E-Box, Wire Junction, Fuse Holder and Battery Overview and => [ Tightening Specification: Fuse Panel ] Engine Compartment E-Box, Wire Junction, Fuse Holder and Battery Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- If the vehicle has a TDI engine, install the front bumper cover end plate.

- Install the front bumper cover on the Audi S8.
