Front Side Door Window Regulator Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the driver door. When operated, the Express Up/Down Feature allows the door window to move very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.

1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the front door window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the window regulator and motor through the access opening in the inner panel.
5. Remove the power window motor bolts from the window regulator.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the window regulator and motor through the access opening in the inner panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the power window motor bolts to the window regulator.

Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Install the window regulator and motor through the access opening.
4. Install the front door window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Inspect the window for proper operation and programming. Refer to Window Regulator Motor Programming and Setup (Programming and Relearning).
6. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
