Rear Compartment Lid Latch Release Cable Handle Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Open the rear compartment lid. Perform the following steps if the rear compartment lid is inoperable:

1. Fold down the rear seat.
2. Reach into the rear compartment to access the inside handle located on the left side upper corner of the rear compartment lid.
3. Open the rear compartment lid.

2. Remove the rear compartment lid finish panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Unclip the cable end (3) from the rear compartment lid release actuator.
4. Unclip the manual release handle cable from the rear compartment lid release latch.
5. Remove the rear compartment lid manual release handle and cable from the compartment lid.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear compartment lid manual release handle and cable to the compartment lid.
2. Clip the manual release handle cable to the rear compartment lid release latch.
3. Clip the cable end (3) to the rear compartment lid release actuator.
4. Install the rear compartment lid finish panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement (Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement).
5. Close the rear compartment lid.
6. Raise the rear seat cushion if previously lowered.
