Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the rear compartment assist handle. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Pull Strap Replacement (Rear Compartment Lid Pull Strap Replacement).
2. Remove the tail light covers.




3. Remove the rear compartment lid release handle bezel screw.
4. Remove the rear compartment lid release handle bezel.




5. Remove twenty retainers using J 38778 from the compartment lid finish panel.
6. Remove the compartment lid finish panel.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear compartment lid finish.
2. Install the retainers to the rear compartment lid finish panel.




3. Install the rear compartment lid release handle bezel.
4. Install the rear compartment lid release handle bezel screw.

Tighten the screw to 2 Nm (18 lb in).




5. Install the tail light covers.
6. Install the rear compartment assist handle. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Pull Strap Replacement (Rear Compartment Lid Pull Strap Replacement).
