Power Liftgate Chime - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the scuff plate from the liftgate opening sill (2). Scuff Plate - Removal.
3. Move the quarter trim panel away from the lower left inner D-pillar (1) far enough to access the power liftgate chime (3). Quarter Trim Panel - Removal.
4. Disconnect the body wire harness connector (4) from the chime pigtail wire connector.
5. Disengage the retainer integral to the chime pigtail wire connector from the body sheet metal.
6. Disengage the retainer integral to the chime housing from the body sheet metal.
7. Remove the chime from the vehicle.
