Normal Operation
Battery voltage is supplied from the battery junction box (BJB) to the switch side of right third row power-fold seat relay through circuit SBB38 (BN/RD) and is hot at all times. When the smart power distribution junction box (SPDJB) energizes the right power-fold seat relay, battery voltage is switched through the relay to the right power-fold seat control switch on circuit SBB32 (VT/RD). Ground is supplied to the right power-fold seat control switch through circuit GD151 (BK/GN). When the right third row power-fold seat control switch is pressed, battery voltage and ground is supplied to the right power-fold seat motor. Pressing the switch in the opposite direction, reverses the polarity to the right power-fold seat motor, which moves the third row seat backrest in the opposite direction.
Possible Causes
An inoperative third row power-fold seat can be caused by:
- fuse(s).
- wiring, terminals or connectors.
- a faulty right third row power-fold seat control switch.
- a faulty right third row power-fold seat relay.
- a faulty right third row power-fold seat motor.
- a faulty SPDJB.
