This is the display signal circuit from the radio receiver to the television display.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the R19 display connector.
(b) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform between each terminal and the body ground according to the conditions, as shown in the chart below.
Measurement condition
OK:
Waveform is as shown in the illustration.
NG -- CHECK DISC PLAYER
OK -- REPLACE TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY
2. CHECK DISC PLAYER
(a) Check if the disc player is equipped on the vehicle.
Result
B -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX)
A -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER)
(a) Disconnect the L56 receiver connector.
(b) Disconnect the R30 controller connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance::
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER - TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the R30 controller connector.
(b) Disconnect the R19 display connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER WITH NORMAL ONE AND CHECK
(a) Replace the multi-display controller with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again Removal.
OK:
Same problem does not occur.
NG -- REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER
OK -- END (MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER IS DEFECTIVE)
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX)
(a) Disconnect the L56 receiver connector.
(b) Disconnect the R16 box connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX - MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER)
(a) Disconnect the R16 box connector.
(b) Disconnect the R30 controller connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER - TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the R30 controller connector.
(b) Disconnect the R19 display connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
9. REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER WITH NORMAL ONE AND CHECK
(a) Replace the multi-display controller with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again Removal.
OK:
Same problem does not occur.
NG -- INSPECT REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX
OK -- END (MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER IS DEFECTIVE)
10. INSPECT REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX
(a) Disconnect the box connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX
OK -- Continue to next step.
11. REPLACE REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX WITH NORMAL ONE AND CHECK
(a) Replace the rear seat console box with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again Removal.
OK:
Same problem does not occur.
NG -- REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER
OK -- END (REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX IS DEFECTIVE)
