Removal








SUSPENSION: REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

3. REMOVE TOOL BOX
4. REMOVE SPARE TIRE
5. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Battery

6. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER

7. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
- Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

14. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

15. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

16. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH

17. REMOVE BATTERY Removal

18. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER ASSEMBLY Removal

19. DISCONNECT REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR CONNECTOR





(a) Detach the wire harness clamp.






(b) Using the procedures below, disconnect the 2 connectors.
(1) Release the lever's lock. (*1)
(2) Press the claw and move the lever in the direction of the arrow in the illustration. (*2)
(3) Disconnect the actuator connector. (*3)
NOTE: When disconnecting the actuator connector, do not apply excessive force to the wire harness.





(c) Detach the 2 clamps, and disconnect the actuator wire harness from the body.






(d) Detach the 3 claws, and disconnect the wire harness grommet from the body.

26. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH Removal

27. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH Removal

28. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH Removal

29. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH Removal

30. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER Removal

32. DISCONNECT EXHAUST PIPE AIR HOSE Removal

33. REMOVE EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR Removal

34. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2) Removal

35. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Removal

36. DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2) Removal

37. REMOVE TAILPIPE LH Removal

38. REMOVE TAILPIPE RH Removal

39. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE DAMPER Removal

40. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

41. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR Removal

42. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR Removal

43. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY Removal

44. REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE LINER LH Removal

45. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP Removal

46. REMOVE FLOOR NO. 1 UNDER COVER Removal

47. DISCONNECT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR CAP Removal

48. REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE Removal

49. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

50. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

51. REMOVE LOAD SENSING VALVE SENSOR BRACKET Removal

52. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH Removal

(a) Remove the nut and disconnect the stabilizer link from the stabilizer bar.






(b) Remove the bolt, nut and stabilizer link from the rear No. 2 suspension arm.

56. DISCONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH Removal

57. DISCONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

58. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Support the suspension member with a jack.
CAUTION: As the rear suspension is very heavy, securely support it with the transmission jack.

(b) Remove the 4 bolts.





(c) Slowly lower the jack, and disconnect the suspension member from the vehicle.
59. REMOVE REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY






(a) Disconnect the 2 claws, and remove the wire harness from the suspension member.






(b) Remove the 4 bolts and rear active stabilizer control actuator from the suspension member.
60. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER BUSH
(a) Remove the 2 bushes from the control actuator.
