SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback spring, seat adjuster and seat cushion spring may injure your hands.
NOTICE:
If the front power seat switch (seat ECU) and front seat adjuster assembly is replaced, or the initialization cancel operation is performed, the position sensor initialization must be performed Initialization.
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the front seat assembly as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
- Make sure the seatback does not contact the shift lever knob.
- Make sure the center pillar does not contact the power seat switch knob.
HINT: Install the seat assembly through the door frame so that it passes under the steering wheel.

(b) Connect the 4 connectors under the seat.
NOTICE:
Make sure the center pillar does not contact the power seat switch knob.

(c) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

(d) Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the rearmost position.

(e) Install the 2 bolts.
Torque: 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27ft-lbf)

(f) Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 seat track covers.
(g) Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the foremost position.

(h) Install the 2 bolts.
Torque: 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27ft-lbf)

(i) Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 seat track covers.
(j) Reset the AUTO TILT AWAY function setting to the previous condition by changing the customize parameter Repair Instruction - Customize Parameters.
2. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the outer belt anchor with the bolt.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31ft-lbf)

(b) for Front Passenger Side:
Connect the connector.

(d) After installing the seat belt anchor cover cap, pull out the seat belt toward the front as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
When installing the seat belt anchor cover cap, the seat belt will get pushed in and shorten. Therefore, perform the above to return the seat belt to the proper position.

3. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Installation
4. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Installation
5. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
6. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Check the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
7. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
(a) Check the power seat operation Front Power Seat Control System.
(b) w/ Climate Control Seat System:
Check the climate control seat system Climate Control Seat System.
