Removal





SUSPENSION CONTROL: REAR ACCELERATION SENSOR: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

2. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Removal

3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal

4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
* After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:





* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
5. REMOVE ROPE HOOK Removal

6. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH Removal

8. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Air Conditioning System) Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER Removal

11. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)

12. REMOVE TOOL BOX (w/o Spare Tire) Removal

13. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE Removal

14. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH Removal

15. REMOVE ACCELERATION SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the bolt and sensor with bracket.

NOTICE:
* Avoid any impact to the suspension control acceleration sensor.
* Do not drop the acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
* The acceleration sensor removed from the vehicle must not be placed upside down.
