2UR-FSE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ECM: REMOVAL
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
2. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Removal
3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal
4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
6. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal
7. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER
NOTICE:
* Wipe off any water on or around the ECU cover.
* Perform these procedures in a dry place away from rain, etc.
* Do not allow water to enter the ECM through its connectors areas, screw areas, etc.
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and ECU cover.
8. REMOVE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
(a) Disconnect the 4 ECU connectors.
(b) Remove the 2 nuts and ECU.
9. DISCONNECT NO. 2 CONNECTOR HOLDER
(a) Disconnect the 2 engine wire connectors.
(b) Disconnect the 2 claws with the connector holder.
10. REMOVE ECM
(a) Disconnect the 6 ECM connectors.
(b) Remove the 2 nuts and ECM.
(c) Remove the 4 screws and 2 ECM brackets from the ECM.
