Removal





2AZ-FXE ENGINE MECHANICAL: ENGINE UNIT: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE HANGERS

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 engine hangers.

2. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT Removal

4. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.





5. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE WITH INJECTOR Removal

6. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

(a) Remove the 5 bolts, 2 nuts and intake manifold.





(b) Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.





8. REMOVE NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE

9. REMOVE NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD INSULATOR

(a) Remove the No. 1 intake manifold insulator.





10. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK

(a) Remove the engine oil level dipstick from the engine oil level dipstick guide.

11. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE

(a) Remove the bolt and engine oil level dipstick guide.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the engine oil level dipstick guide.

12. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY

(a) Remove the bolt, nut and manifold stay.





13. REMOVE NO. 2 MANIFOLD STAY

(a) Remove the bolt, nut and No. 2 manifold stay.





14. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 5 nuts, exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly and gasket.





15. REMOVE WATER INLET Removal

16. REMOVE THERMOSTAT Removal

17. REMOVE NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS PIPE

(a) Remove the bolt, 2 nuts, No. 1 water by-pass pipe and gasket.





18. REMOVE OIL COOLER PIPE

(a) Remove the 2 clamps and No. 4 water by-pass hose.





(b) Remove the 2 clamps and No. 3 water by-pass hose.





(c) Remove the 2 nuts, bolt, oil cooler pipe and gasket.





19. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY Removal

20. REMOVE KNOCK SENSOR Removal

21. REMOVE RADIO SETTING CONDENSER

(a) Remove the bolt and radio setting condenser.





22. REMOVE ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a 24 mm deep socket wrench, remove the engine oil pressure switch assembly.





23. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

(a) Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor and gasket.
