2UR-FSE EXHAUST: EXHAUST MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

HINT
When viewed from the rear of the engine assembly, Bank 1 is on the left side and Bank 2 is on the right side.

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

2. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Removal

3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Removal

4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:

* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

5. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP

(a) Remove the service plug grip Removal.

6. REMOVE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

(a) Remove the engine and transmission Removal.

7. REMOVE FRONT FRAME ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE Removal

9. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and heat insulator.

10. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and heat insulator.

11. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR Removal

12. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH Removal

13. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH Removal

14. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

(b) Remove the 8 nuts and exhaust manifold RH.

(b) Remove the 8 nuts and exhaust manifold LH.

(c) Remove the gasket.

16. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1)

(a) Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold LH.

17. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR NO.2 (for Bank 2 Sensor 1)

(a) Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold RH.

SST : 09224-00010
