ABS/TCS HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

CAUTION:
- When replacing the ABS/TCS HU/CM, the configuration procedure must be done before removing the ABS/TCS HU/CM. If the configuration is not completed before removing the ABS/TCS HU/CM, ABS/TCS will not work properly after installation of the ABS/TCS HU/CM.
- The internal parts of the ABS/TCS HU/CM could be damaged if dropped. Be careful not to drop the ABS/TCS HU/CM. Replace the ABS/TCS HU/CM if it is subjected to an impact.

1. Remove the following parts:
a. Windshield wiper arm and blade Service and Repair

b. Cowl grille Cowl Grille Removal/Installation

c. Windshield wiper motor Removal and Replacement

d. Cowl panel Cowl Panel Removal/Installation

2. For the vehicles with MZI-3.7, remove the power steering reserve tank component. Removal and Replacement

3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

5. Add brake fluid, bleed the brakes, and inspect for leakage after the installation has been completed. Service and Repair

6. Configurate the ABS/TCS HU/CM (only when replacing it). ABS/TCS HU/CM Configuration

7. Clear the DTCs from the memory. On-Board Diagnosis [ABS/TCS]










Connector Removal Note

1. Disconnect the connector in the order shown in the figure.






CAUTION:
- If sand or other particles get into the connector, it may be difficult to remove. In order not to damage the connector, be careful not to use excessive force removing the connector.

Brake Pipe Removal Note

1. Place an alignment mark on the brake pipe and ABS/TCS HU/CM.






2. Affix protective tape to the connector to prevent brake fluid from entering.

3. Remove the brake pipe.

4. Adhere protective tape to the installation area of the ABS/TCS HU/CM brake pipe to prevent foreign material penetration.

Brake Pipe Installation Note

1. Align the alignment marks made before removal and install the brake pipe to the ABS/TCS HU/CM referring to the figure.






Connector Installation Note

1. Connect the connector in the order shown in the figure.






2. After connecting the connector, verify that the connector is completely locked.
