Glove Compartment: Service and Repair

GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Remove the battery cover. Removal and Replacement

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. Partially peel back the seaming welt.

4. Remove the following parts:
a. Side wall Side Wall Removal/Installation

b. Center console (Vehicles with rear vent) Center Console Removal/Installation

c. Selector lever knob (ATX) Front Console Removal/Installation

d. Shift lever knob (MTX) Front Console Removal/Installation

e. Front console Front Console Removal/Installation

f. Front scuff plate inner (passenger's side) Front Scuff Plate Removal/Installation

g. Front side trim (passenger's side) Front Side Trim Removal/Installation

h. Side panel (passenger's side) Side Panel Removal/Installation

5. Press the stay damper in the direction shown by the arrow and detach it from the glove compartment lid.






6. While pressing the stopper in the direction shown by the arrow, detach the stopper from the glove compartment lid.

7. Pull the glove compartment lid outward while lowering it to the position shown in the figure, and then detach the clip and remove the glove compartment lid.






8. Remove the screws.






9. Pull the glove compartment outward and detach clips A.

10. Remove the glove compartment.

11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
