DTC P1715 INPUT SPEED SENSOR
Description
ECM receives input speed sensor signal from TCM through CAN communication line. ECM uses this signal for engine control.
CONSULT-III Reference Value in Data Monitor Mode
Specification data are reference values.
On Board Diagnosis Logic
NOTE:
- If DTC P1715 is displayed with DTC UXXXX, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC UXXXX.
- If DTC P1715 is displayed with DTC P0335, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC P0335. Except For California.
- If DTC P1715 is displayed with DTC P0340 first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC P0340. Except For California.
- If DTC P1715 is displayed with DTC P0605, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC P0605. Except For California.
- If DTC P1715 is displayed with DTC P0607, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC P0607. Except For California.
The MIL will not light up for this self-diagnosis.
DTC Confirmation Procedure
CAUTION:
Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.
NOTE:
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.
WITH CONSULT-III
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Select "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-III.
3. Start engine.
4. Drive vehicle at a speed of more than 50 km/h (31 MPH) for at least 5 seconds.
5. Check 1st trip DTC.
6. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to Except For California.
WITH GST
Follow the procedure "WITH CONSULT-III" above.
Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK DTC WITH TCM
Check DTC with TCM. Introduction OBD-II Function For CVT System One Or Two Trip Detection Logic Of OBD-II Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK or NG
OK - GO TO 2.
NG - Perform trouble shooting relevant to DTC indicated.
2.REPLACE TCM
Replace TCM. CVT Fail Safe.
