ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine compartment.









(b) Pass the cable through the upper radiator support.
(c) Connect the clamps as shown in the illustration.





(d) Connect the hood lock control cable to the hood lock control lever.
2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)





(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.





(b) Connect the hood lock control cable.





(c) Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)





(d) Install the hood lock nut cap.
3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)





(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.





(b) Connect the hood lock control cable.





(c) Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)





(d) Install the hood lock nut cap.





(e) Connect the connector.

5. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY Adjustments
6. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE Installation
7. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation
8. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH Installation
9. INSTALL FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation
10. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
11. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FE) Installation
