3UR-FE BATTERY / CHARGING: GENERATOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY (for 130 A, 150 A Type)





(a) Install the generator with the 3 bolts and nut.
Torque: 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)





(b) Connect the generator connector.
(c) Connect the generator wire with the nut.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
(d) Install the terminal cap.
(e) Install the harness bracket to the generator with the bolt.
Torque: 31 Nm (316 kgf-cm, 23 ft-lbf)
2. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY (for 180 A Type)





(a) Install the generator with the 3 bolts and nut.
Torque: 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)





(b) Connect the generator connector.
(c) Connect the generator wire with the nut.
Torque: 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)
(d) Install the terminal cap.
(e) Install the harness bracket to the generator with the bolt.
Torque: 31 Nm (316 kgf-cm, 23 ft-lbf)
3. CONNECT VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY





HINT: Before performing the following procedures, move the spacer until the vane pump can be installed.





(a) Install the vane pump to the timing chain cover with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 28 Nm (286 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)





(b) Connect the clamp and 2 power steering connectors.
4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH Installation
5. INSTALL FAN SHROUD (w/ Trailer Towing System) Installation
6. INSTALL FAN SHROUD (w/o Trailer Towing System) Installation
7. CONNECT OUTLET RADIATOR HOSE Installation
8. INSTALL INLET RADIATOR HOSE Installation
9. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair
10. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection
11. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
12. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Replacement
13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
