Removal





U660F AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Removal

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH Removal

4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH Removal

5. SEPARATE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

6. SEPARATE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

7. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL Removal

8. REMOVE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH Removal

17. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT COVER (w/ Console Box) Removal

19. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

20. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH Removal

21. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH Removal

22. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY Removal

23. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Move the shift lever to N.

(b) Disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector and transmission control switch wire connector.





(c) Remove the 4 nuts and shift lever.

24. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the end of the transmission control cable from the shift lever.





(b) Using a screwdriver, pull out the transmission control cable stopper.





NOTICE:
Do not remove the stopper. If the stopper is removed, reinstall it to its original position.

(c) Rotate the nut counterclockwise approximately 270° and, while holding the nut in that position, disconnect the transmission control cable from the shift lever retainer.
