Removal





HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR (for 1AR-FE): REMOVAL

1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair

2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal

3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

4. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

Removal

5. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

Removal

6. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

Removal

7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY Removal

8. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE Removal

9. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE Removal

10. DISCONNECT INLET OIL COOLER HOSE Removal

11. DISCONNECT OUTLET OIL COOLER HOSE Removal

12. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

13. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A Removal

14. REMOVE HOOD LOCK NUT CAP Removal

15. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal

16. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

17. REMOVE RADIATOR AND FAN ASSEMBLY Removal

18. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose from the compressor.

(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent the entry of moisture and foreign matter.

19. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose from the compressor.

(b) Remove the O-ring from the suction hose.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

20. REMOVE W/PULLEY COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Disengage the clamp.

(b) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(c) Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and the compressor.





(d) Remove the bolt and the bracket.





(e) Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts.
