Muffler with Mounts Overview
1 Suspended Mount
• Replace if damaged
2 Bolt
• 25 Nm
3 Retaining Loop
• Replace if damaged
4 Nut
• 25 Nm
5 To Vacuum Control Module
• Installed location: behind the left rear wheel.
• Individual components, refer to => [ Vacuum Control Unit, Individual Components ].
6 Vacuum Actuator
• Use the hand vacuum pump (VAS 6213) to check operation.
7 Rear Muffler
• Original equipment as one unit with the center muffler. For repairs, replace each separately.
• Separating exhaust system.
• Install the exhaust system free of stress. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Exhaust System, Installing.
8 Suspended Mount with Retaining Loops
• Replace if damaged
9 Bolt
• 25 Nm
10 Rear Clamping Sleeve
• Align the exhaust system before tightening. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Exhaust System, Installing.
• Tighten bolts evenly
• Clamping sleeve location, refer to => [ Rear Clamping Sleeve Installed Position ] Description and Operation.
11 Center Muffler
• Original equipment as one unit with rear muffler. For repairs, replace each separately.
• Separating the exhaust system.
12 Front Clamping Sleeve
• Align the exhaust system before tightening. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Exhaust System, Installing.
• Clamping sleeve location, refer to => [ Clamping Sleeves ] Description and Operation.
• Tighten bolts evenly
13 Nut
• 25 Nm

5 To vacuum reservoir
6 Exhaust door valve 1 (N321)
